Job Title: Loan Officer
Job Duties: • Accepts and review loan applications by evaluating applicant information and documentation. • Drafts Letter of Intents for potential loans. • Evaluates credit worthiness. • Improves loan applications by informing applicant of additional requirements. • Rejects loans by explaining deficiencies to applicants. • Approves loans or forwards applications to loan committee. • Develops Critical Paths or Action Plans for complex transactions. • Negotiates commission agreements with brokers. • Updates marketing programs to include websites, Scotsman Guide, etc. • Develops policies and procedures and train new loan officers. • Accounts for and updates loan and investment portfolio and provides monthly reports on profitability and Return on Investment. • Initiate foreclosure process for delinquent loans. • Completes loan contracts by explaining provisions to applicant; obtaining signatures and notarizations; collecting fees. • Helps customers by answering questions; responding to requests. • Maintains customer confidence by keeping loan information confidential. • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. • Support the Investments Team in all underwriting, due diligence and closing efforts for acquisition and disposition transactions. • Interact with several internal departments and external parties for assigned transactions • Maintain group materials relating to market specific information such as target properties, prominent owners and comparable transactions • Analyze and interpret operating statements and obtain market data from various sources • Assist in the preparation of investment memos • Oversee due diligence process including cash flow variance analyses, coordinating site inspections and lease abstracting, review of third party reports, document sharing/tracking as well as the estoppel process • Serve as the primary due diligence point of contact for buyer and investment sales team including initial document transmittal and all information requests • Coordinate the estoppel process • Assist in the closing and post-closing processes
