| Job Duties: | Diagnose, repair, overhaul, and replace all aspects of passenger cars, Land Rover 4WD vehicles, and commercial trucks. Diagnose Land Rover transfer cases and transmissions. Rebuild engines, including head-gasket replacements and timing jobs. Perform small repairs on vehicle interiors, such as fixing trim, door hinges, or interior lights. Clean shop, organize tools, perform repairs on physical shop facilities. |

| Qualification Requirements: | At least two years of training involving both on-the-job experience and informal training with experienced workers. A recognized apprenticeship program associated with these occupations in repairing Land Rover vehicles, with special emphasis on transfer cases and other four-wheel-drive subsystems. Must be well versed and experienced in all standard automobile repairs (engine, transmission, suspension, braking) in addition to Land Rover specialization. Must have basic understanding of electrical theory and be well-versed with a multimeter. Must speak basic English; preferable basic Mandarin Chinese is also helpful for speaking with commercial truck and rental-car clientele. Must be physically strong enough to lift and carry ~fifty pounds. Must not have any criminal record. Must be available to work highly variable hours (generally between 0 and 15 hours per week), depending on company needs. |
