Job Title: Director of Information Technology
Job Duties: Plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming. Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and internet systems or a segment of a network system. Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. Monitor and test web site performance to ensure web sites operate correctly and without interruption. Assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software. Administer network security measures and performs other related duties as assigned. The applicant must be able to: Develop a 21st century technology plan for the school; Conduct professional development for faculty and staff; Teach high school computer class (educational technology applications) to the students; Review project plans to coordinate project activity; Manage backup, security, and user help systems; Develop and interpret organizational goals, policies, and procedures; Develop computer information resources, providing for data security and control, strategic computing, and disaster recovery; Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements; Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, application software, and all configurations; Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary; Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware; Configure, monitor, and maintain email applications and virus protection software.
