| Job Duties: | steer vessels,utilizing navigational devices such as compasses & sexton & navigational aids such as light houses & buoys.Stand watches vessels during specified period while vessels are under way.Inspect equipment such as cargo,handling gear,lifesaving equipment,visual signaling equipment,&fishing,towing or dredging gear in order to detect problems.Arrange for ship to be stocked,fueled & repaired.Repair or replacement of defective gear & equipment.Cleaning & maintaining decks superstructures & bridges. must know how to launch canopies. |
