Job Title: Operations Supervisor
Job Duties: Assist General Manager on liner schedule, to include voyage planning, cargo stowage planning and vessel schedule routing of water transportation. Supervise operations personnel to include communication with Local and Federal Authorities, required for vessel and cargo clearance. Coordinate inbound cargo equipment requirement with yard supervisor, ensuring that equipment are readily available to assist the inbound cargo. Be able to direct and provide clear instructions, able to communicate and assist service providers to address the concern and requirement of cargo consignees. Background on shipping container and chassis inventories is a must, which requires full and detail knowledge in identifying seaworthy equipment and non-seaworthy, must have a full knowledge on software such as Global Equipment Management System (GEMS) and Advance Integrated Container Information System (AICOS), be able to update inventory system independently. With detail knowledge on United States Coast Guard (USCG) regulations for vessel entry requirement, 49CFR and INTERNATIONAL MARITIME DANGEROUS GOOD (IMDG) Code is essential. Must be a certified HAZARDOUS MATERIAL (HAZMAT) handler. Must have detail knowledge in INSTITUTE INTERNATIONAL CONTAINER LESSOR (ICCL) Regulation.

Qualification Requirements: Prefeably a college graduate with Bachelor Degree and 1-2 years of Supervisory experience in the Liner and Agency Shipping Industry with an emphasis on general agency and vessel operations in ocean freight operations and documentation, warehouse activities, safety performance. Able to work independently, must have strong background in math and analysis, for preparing and providing prospects principal with adequate information on estimated port disbursement cost, to include estimates of the number of hours of cargo operations required for both discharging and back loading of vessel/s. Must be proficient in English comprehension and maritime terminologies and abbreviations, that is required for preparing for vessel reports and responding to emails. Proficient in Windows based system and with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and MAS90 system. Preferably speak/ communicate in Japanese. Must be willing to work flexible hours and weekends.
