Job Title: Facilities and Ground Support Mechanic
Job Duties: Responsible for the maintenance and repair of the company’s business establishment structure, vehicles and other ground support and mechanical equipment. Specific tasks: • Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, spray paint, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices. • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate. • Perform body repair and painting of airplanes and ground support equipment. • Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary. • Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment. • Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists. • Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery. • Adjust functional parts of devices or control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, or straightedges. • Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment. • Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work. • Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions. Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups. • Maintenance and repair of company machinery and appliances such as air conditioners. • Perform tasks to assist aircraft mechanics in their duties as necessary. • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualification Requirements: • High school graduate. College degree preferred. • With 2 years experience in building maintenance, or vehicle and ground support equipment maintenance, body repair/painting. • Must pass a DOT/FAA pre-employment drug test. • Computer literate preferred. • Hardworking, self-starter, dependable and able to work in a multicultural environment.
