| Job Title: | Generator Technician |
| Job Duties: | Under the direct supervision of the Generator Division Supervisor, is responsible for the maintenance and repair of power generating equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Responsible to maintain and repair power generating equipment. • Troubleshoots and completes repairs of generator in the field. • Effectively diagnose, repair, adjust and recondition diesel engines, engine systems and components. • Apply a variety of skills to maintain complex electro-mechanical systems and equipment used to produce and support electrical generated power. • Solves complex problems involving troubleshooting and repair of diesel generator sets while working independently. • Rebuilds and reconditions components common to electrical power generating systems. • Overhaul diesel engines including badly damaged and frozen engines and restore to tory tolerances using high quality workmanship and working with high efficiency. • Cleans and maintains tools and equipment used in the work. • Completes all necessary documentation in a neat and timely manner. • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations as well as company policies and procedures. • Perform other duties as required. • Follow defined Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures. |

| Qualification Requirements: | POSITION MINIMUM QUALIFICATION • 5 Years verifiable experience in generator diagnostic and repair. • Able to troubleshoot diesel engine, 3-phase generators and transfer switches. • Suitably qualified and certified as Diesel Mechanic or Power Generator Technician. • Knowledgeable and disciplined in maintenance safety. • Excellent interpersonal skills. • High School diploma/GED, Vocational or Trade School |
