| Job Duties: | Fabricate ducting by sheet metal, aluminum or fiberglass materials. Install pre-fabricated ducts used for heating or air-conditioning purposes such as ducts, control boxes, drain pipes & furnace casings. Set-up and operate fabricating equipment and machines, soldering and welding equipment. Assemble sections duct according specifications using slip joints or metal screws. Cut holes in ceilings and walls as required and make cuts and bends in duct to accommodate installation. Secure duct using wires or metal traps. Insulate ducts by wrapping or inserting with insulating materials such as fiberglass among others. Assists in estimating ducting works as required for a certain project. |
