Job Title: Room Division Manager
Job Duties: • Plan, direct, coordinate activities of an organization or department that provides lodging and other accommodations. • Inspect guest rooms, public areas and grounds for cleanliness and appearance. Greet and may register guests. • Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and services, and resolve occupant’s complaints. • Monitor the revenue activity of the hotel or facility. • Train staff members. Observe and monitor staff performance to ensure efficient operations and adherence to facility’s policies and procedures. • May communicate with the agents and tour agency if necessary. • Coordinate front-office activities of the hotel and disseminating it to the designated department. • Responsible in preparing hotel revenue reports, such as monthly and daily transaction. • Participate in financial activities such as the setting of room rates, and promotions. • Collect payments and record data pertaining to funds and expenditures. Manage and maintain temporary or permanent lodging facilities. • Responsible for managing employees and for planning, marketing, coordinating and administering hotel services such as accommodation facilities. • Responsible for making sure the hotel is making money and working within its allotted budget and should set a goal for increase in revenue and occupancy. Set a plan to reach that goal, and make certain that supervisors and staff are actively trying to pursue it. • Responsible for making sure hotel guests have the best experience possible during their stay in the hotel. • Responsible in monitoring and approving front office staff payroll and daily schedule. • Perform other task as determined and assigned by Operations Director or General Manager.
High School Diploma Required? Undetermined
Qualification Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality or Business Management or equivalent. At least two (2) years working experience management level in an hotel industry. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer, personal services and interpret financial data like budgets and expense reports, requiring computer skills, mathematics, and basic accounting. Speaking additional language like Japanese, Chinese and Korean language is an advantage. Knowledge in hotel system Fidelio or Opera is preferred but not required. Experienced handling large group of arrivals. Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive attitude, professional, neat and well groomed at all times. Acquired hospitality related program is an asset. A "People Person". Must be able to stand for a prolonged period of time. Willing to work in flexible shifts, days, evening, weekends and holidays.
