| Job Title: | Engineering Technician - Structural |
| Job Duties: | Coordinates structural design development and assist in providing structural direction to projects. Provides structural expertise on all project aspects associated with conceptual engineering, detailed engineering designs, and preparation of contract documents for construction followed by construction administration with respect to the structural aspects of the project. Structural design through the design phase of the project followed by construction administration with respect to the structural aspects of the project. Completeness and accuracy of design work. Cost control on projects and quality control within structural discipline. Performs all structural engineering work related to the project from initial planning of structural system(s) through detailed design and construction administration related to the structural system utilized. Requires frequent judgment and initiative with the Structural Engineering field. Develop and/or modify standard details. Assess efficiency of contract document preparation and offer suggestions for improvement and implementation. Provides technical direction/training to all less experienced professional staff to enhance individual capabilities for advancement and promotion along career paths. Performs other office, laboratory, and/or field consulting assignments as necessary to accomplish work for client. Participates in the development of marketing strategies and presentations of qualifications to clients on projects. The candidate will be ready to assume work assignments to bring projects from conception to completion of design. |

| Qualification Requirements: | • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required. • 2-4 years related experience with an emphasis in Structural Engineering required. • AutoCAD 2014, Revit, Slabs and Mats Analysis by the Finite Element Methods (SAFE); Extended Three-Dimensional Analysis of Building Systems (ETABS); SAP 2000 ; StaadPro Analysis and Design; Ener-Calc Structural Engineering Library; MS Office tools: Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint; Adobe Acrobat and Bluebeam Revu - Police Clearance and Random Drug Test Required |
