| Job Duties: | Plans, layout and performs installation of electrical wiring, equipment, devices and fixtures, based on project requirements, specifications and applicable codes. Examines systems to locate problems such as loose connections and damaged insulation. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment and/or repair, to ensure compliance with applicable codes. Connects wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. Repair or replace wiring equipment or fixture, using hand tools or power tools. Test electrical systems, circuit and electrical wiring, equipment, devices and fixtures, using voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and DC High-Potential Testers to ensure safety of system and conformity to codes. Performs, repairs as required. Performs blue-print reading and interpretation and follows blue-prints to implement installation of electrical systems. Diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, components and circuits, using test equipment and hand tools to locate causes of breakdown and corrects the problem. |
