| Job Duties: | 1. Plan and implement instruction to ensure that all students meet and exceed the Core Curriculum Content Standards in music. 2. Emphasis shall be on understanding the processes and cultural context of the arts as well as on the traditional emphasis on performing music. 3. Provide a variety of learning experiences so that students demonstrate skills and concepts learned through individual and group performances, portfolios, and a variety of communication mediums, including electronic media presentations. 4. Communicate regularly and assist classroom teachers with integrating music and the performing arts into the instructional program. 5. Provide and supervise opportunities for students to demonstrate individually and in ensembles or large groups the skills and talents developed in the music program, bringing pride of accomplishment to students and to the school. These opportunities may be in music and may occasionally be outside of the normal work day for teachers, including evenings and weekends. 6. Serve as accompanist for school, church, and class programs. 7. Prepare orders for music, supplies, and equipment within the approved budget, following established purchasing procedures. 8. Maintain an inventory and in proper working order all musical instruments and musical scores. 9. Submit lesson plans in the approved format to the designated supervisor as required. 10. Use effective presentation skills when employing direct instruction, including appropriate vocabulary and examples, clear and legible visuals, and articulate and audible speech. 11. Employ a variety of methods for students to demonstrate learning and accomplishments. 12. Maintain records and provide evidence of growth and progress to parents and to students. 13. Assist with extracurricular activities, supporting the total program of the school. 14. Maintain positive, cooperative, and mutually supportive relationships with the administration, instructional staff, students, and parents. 15. Communicates with parents through conferences and other means to discuss students’ progress and interpret the school program. 16. Participates in curriculum development programs as required. 17. Participates in faculty committees, church functions and the sponsorship of student activities. 18. Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities as necessary in the ministry. |

| Qualification Requirements: | The candidate must be a graduate of bachelors degree in music or related discipline. Must be proficient in musical instruments such as piano, and the like. Must have the compassion in teaching. Must be like-minded as the institution. Must be able to teach student who are non-native English speakers as well as English speakers. Must be reliable and dependable and team worker. Must be a problem solver. Must submit to the rules and regulations of the school. |
