| Job Duties: | Responsible for planning and directing food preparation in the kitchen. Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations. Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met. Order or request food and other supplies needed to ensure efficient operation. Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards. Check the quantity and quality of received products. Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients. Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation. Instruct cooks and other workers in the preparation, presentation, cooking, and garnishing of food. Determine how food should be presented, and create decorative food displays. Collaborate with other personnel to plan and develop recipes and menus, taking into account such factors as seasonal availability of ingredients and the likely number of customers. |

| Qualification Requirements: | Proof of prior experience is required. Candidate must have excellent record of kitchen management. Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently. Capable of delegating multiple tasks. Communication and leadership skills. BS degree in Culinary Science or related certificate preferred, but not required. Final interview mat include a skill test. Food Handlers certificate must be valid throughout employment. Must be able to speak both English and Mandarin. |
