Job Title: Vice President of Marketing
Job Duties: Provide excellent guest service to both internal and external guests. Actively supports the company culture of creating a fun and entertaining experience for internal and external guests. Provides leadership and direction for advertising, production, media planning, database marketing, market and customer research, player development, special events, promotions, and public relations. Meet with external parties on a business level, department directors and managers to develop the goals, strategies and tactics for the annual marketing plan and review the progress in attaining goals, based on research, sales and guest traffic, and to present new promotions and advertising. Develops the annual marketing plan and the measurable goals, strategies, tactics and resources necessary to achieve overall goals, including increasing brand awareness and market share, new customer acquisition and customer retention. Develop and manage the annual budget according to an approved annual marketing plan; oversee expenses to maintain acceptable margins; approve invoices for payment; review budget reports monthly and revise as necessary. Meet regularly with marketing department staff and department directors, managers to coordinate promotions. Work with gaming departments to develop promotions and special offers; coordinate, promote, and measure results of each, modify accordingly; and communicate how promotions and special offers will be advertised. Work with directors and managers to create new services and products that respond to the customers' changing needs and desires. Maximize use of players' club database to identify tiers; coordinate direct mail and e-mail program including monthly newsletters, birthday cards, etc.; provide tickets, VIP passes, and special offers for events and entertainment; develop ideas and coordinate special events for VIPs; measure results of all activities and evaluate; research and modify accordingly. Exhibit and promote measurable guest service standards that convey internal and external guest satisfaction. Supervise research, evaluation, negotiation, scheduling, and contracts for media space, time, location, and promotional packages; measure results, analyze, and modify accordingly. Develop creative strategies as needed, supervise production of print ads, broadcast spots, collateral materials, promotional merchandise, signage (on-site and off), website, internet communications, and billboards. Provide news releases, story ideas and publicity functions, set up interviews, distribute photography, conduct property tours, arrange speakers' engagements, as well as respond to inquiries and editorials. Supervise management of web site, including continued development, monitoring web traffic reports and responding to web site inquiries or forwarding as appropriate to department heads and President. Supervise department staff who will coordinate regular surveys of players club membership and other guests of the casino; work with outside research firms to collect and analyze primary data from the target market area. Ensures compliance with Gaming Enterprise and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the selection, training, evaluation and supervision of all advertising and marketing department heads. Supervise and evaluate outside advertising agency to ensure the appropriate execution of marketing plans. Work closely with other Marketing directors to coordinate marketing activities. Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures. Communicate with department heads regarding ad copy, deadlines, special issues, promotions, etc. Submits recommendations for special events and marketing programs Participate in formulating and administering company policies and developing long-range goals and objectives. All other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism Business Management, Gaming Management or a related field is preferred; OR equivalent combination of education and experience. With at least 15 years marketing experience in gaming/tourism/hospitality environment With at least 10 years casino and integrated resort experience, with at least three (3) years of which were at managerial level or above With experience in consulting services in casino related business, marketing agency with brand & communications, P.R. Experience in pre-opening an integrated resort with sized casino (at least 500 tables or 1,000 slot machines) Experienced in working in corporate environment with over 10,000 team members Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex of documents, such as technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to write effective letters, memos, or speeches. Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from staff members at all levels, guests, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one, small group, and large group settings. Ability to effectively present information to top management and public groups. Strong business experience in reviewing and developing marketing plans, marketing materials and collateral's. Strong track record of understanding marketing dynamics and responding in a pro-active manner to assure achievement of business objectives. Experience analyzing and marketing recommendations on promotions. Ability to create effective cross-company working relationships and execute on business plan which requires multi-division participation. Ability to draft complex report and material and given lengthy oral and written presentation. Knowledge of the gaming, hotel and entertainment industry. Must have excellent customer service skills. Ability to supervise and direct work of employees. Ability to exercise sound personnel management practices while illustrating firm dispositions in dealing with employee issues. Ability to write, prepare standard reports and documents. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Publisher, Word, Excel, PowerPoint,). Self-starter, collaborative, and highly organized, along with being an innovative problem solver and a creative marketer with a strong sense of urgency. Ability to prioritize and process multiple complex projects and deadlines with attention to detail and organization. Ability to creatively approach challenges and projects and to work both independently and in teams effectively for the best possible outcome. Strong interpersonal skills, writing, speaking, organizational ability, initiative, creativity, and enthusiasm. Must be able to secure a Casino Gaming License.
