| Job Duties: | Perform any combination of light/heavy cleaning duties to maintain private households and/or commercial building, such as cleaning floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, strip, seal, finish, and polish floors, and removing rubbish. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors, fixtures and hazards. Mix water and detergents or chemicals in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications. Duties may include performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs or additions to building operating systems, cleaning debris from sidewalk and hallways, service, clean and supply rest rooms. Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning maintenance duties. Duties may include monitor of building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created. Duties may include making beds, replenishing linens, washing, cleaning rooms and halls, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and ironing. |
