Job Title: Prep Cook
Job Duties: Performs duties which requires preparation of meat, vegetable and fruits in a large scale production. It may also be a work combination of preparing, packing and serving food. Inspects and cleans food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices. Ensures food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of roll through chillers, heaters and ovens. Ensures freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock (FIFO) . Weighs, measures, and mixes ingredients according to recipes , using various kitchen utensils and equipment. Washes, peels, cuts, and seeds fruits and vegetables to prepare them for cooking. Portions, arranges, and garnishes food. Performs other related duties as assigned.
High School Diploma Required? Undetermined
Qualification Requirements: Must at least be a high school graduate. Little or no previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is needed for these occupations. Related experience or work related skills, knowledge on simple mathematics, production processes, quality and cost control needed. Must be able to lift at least between 25 To 50 lbs. Willing and able to work on an early morning shift and can work on flexible hours. Must possess a valid Food Handlers Permit.
