Job Title: Business Development Assistant
Job Duties: Data Management: Maintain and update matter management database. Manage process for Directories submissions. Prepare matter reports for a variety of practices and industries. Market Research: Support ongoing business development and lead generation initiatives. Develop comprehensive prospect fact sheets. Conduct and analyze market research through database searches, networking, interviews, etc. Participate in new Business Development efforts as they arise. Marketing Activities: Assist specific groups in executing practice plans and individual partner plans. Help partners with activities related to client relations or firm promotion such as media relations, client events and other business development tasks as identified. Support the Development Team with development and analysis of marketing activities. Distribute client alerts and other marketing materials to clients. Pitches/RFPs: Prepare first draft of proposals/RFPs tailored to evaluation criteria and prospective clients’ cultures and preferences. Help produce proposal executive summaries detailing the firm’s capabilities. Coordinate logistics associated with proposal production and delivery. Other Marketing Literature, Client Presentations and Directory Submissions: Update practice descriptions and maintain client lists and biographies. Help draft and produce bios, profiles, brochures and specialized projects. Help execute and analyze research on target clients/industries. Draft and compile appropriate written and visual presentation materials and document developments after presentations. Assist with data collection and coordination of directory and award submissions.

Qualification Requirements: Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field plus at least 12 months experience in related field. Work or internship experience in a customer or client focused, sales or business admin setting is an asset. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficiency in MS Office applications such as word processing (Microsoft Word), spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel), database, PowerPoint, presentation and organizational/project planning software applications and Interaction. Must be detail oriented, organized and focused on accuracy. Must have solid planning, coordinating, and organizational skills. Must have knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures, use equipments and materials properly, and the ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to audience, whether oral or written. Must be able to meet the demands of the work schedule and deadlines. May be occasionally required to work outside of regularly scheduled hours (schedules may vary based on business and clients' needs). Must be able handle assigned work requests in efficient, timely manner. Must be able to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Must be able to maintain a high level of professionalism; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position. Must have strong planning, organizing and coordinating ability. Must be able to work independently or as part of a team. Language Skills: Must have good interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy procedure manuals, and other related documents in English and Chinese. Must be able to communicate effectively in proper English and Chinese (Written/Spoken).
