| Job Duties: | Job Summary – (Role Summary) Supervise the service and delivery of menu items in assigned restaurant ensuring a high level of quality and consistency. Cashier duties including handling, billing and receiving of payments in an accurate and profession manner which ensures guest satisfaction and minimizes losses to the facility. Adhere to local regulations concerning health, safety, or other compliance requirements, as well as brand standards and local policies and procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Key Activities of the Role) Prepare and carry out food and beverage service to guest in a courteous and efficient manner. This includes offering table service to guest, regularly checking the floor; this includes all lounges, kitchen, and bar. This will also include preparing and delivering room service trays as and when required. To assist in the preparation of mise en place for service as required, in accordance with the required standards. To keep back of house, restaurants, lounge areas and gardens tidy at all times and to regularly clean all associated equipment. Knowledge in bartending; mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks for guest. Knowledge in serving; pour all drinks i.e. wine to recommended legal standards (correct measures) in the appropriate glassware. Check identification of customers to make sure they meet age requirements for purchase of alcohol. To notify the restaurant manager is you observe a particular item of stock is running low. To handle all complaints in a professional and courteous manner and to provide appropriate solutions. To immediately inform the restaurant manager of all cases. To forward solutions and suggestions to eradicate complaints and other comments from guests to the Restaurant Manager. To ensure that all food and beverage items served at a quality and recorded in an appropriate manner in order that guest may be charged. To display professional salesmanship and positive sales techniques at all times. To read all relevant literature, notices, and other correspondence and to regularly observe department and company notices. To uphold good housekeeping practices, ensuring a safe, clean, tidy, and pleasant working environment. To ensure the proper care and security of guest items, hotel equipment, stock, furniture and fixtures, reporting malfunction or theft to Restaurant Manager. To assist in keeping operating costs to a minimum by efficient and responsible use resources such as electricity, water, linen, stationery, cleaning materials, china, glassware, silver, and other equipment. To comply with all company policies and procedures. To comply with statutory requirements regarding the work place such as employment law, health and safety, hygiene, fire prevention, etc. To be responsible whilst liaising with the Restaurant Manager. In the absence of a Manager, conduct shift briefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known. Assisting in ensuring all staff is properly trained on quality and service standards. Endeavour to resolve all complaints during shifts and logs all complaints in log book for further follow up. Supervise cash handling and banking procedures. Prepare daily banking and cash flow reports. Establish and instruct staff in cash security procedures. Deal with irregular payments. Supervise the maintenance of service equipment. Assist with food and beverage menu and wine list creation. Control stock and monitor security procedures. Supervise functions and outlet service. Working on manpower planning and management needs. Works in the preparation and management of the Department’s budget. Monitor the recording of stock movement and inventory control of product. Involve and take positive actions to meeting the department objectives. Proactive in maximizing sales and generating revenue. Input new ideas for service and products to maintain competitive and leading edge. |

| Qualification Requirements: | Required Skills – Demonstrated ability to interact with customers and employees, and third parties that reflects highly on the facility, the brand, and the Company. Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handlers card as required by local government policy. Skilled in problem solving and training. Must be able to speak, read, and write in English. Must be able to speak, read, and write in Mandarin. Must be 21 years of age or older. Must be able to serve alcoholic beverage and have knowledge on the area. Must be computer literate. Excellent guest service and hospitality skills. Self motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift and carry up to (30) pounds at a time. Ability to work in an environment where pipe, cigar, and cigarette smoking is permitted. Ability to multi-task several activities and duties simultaneously. Ability to function and act independently. Ability to work well with people, in a team, environment, and to communicate effectively both written and oral. Ability to function in a fast space environment, under short time constraints, and within established deadlines. Ability to work a flexible schedule including extended hours, weekends, and holidays. Qualifications – Diploma in Hotel Management, Food & Beverage, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Obtain/maintain alcohol awareness certification and food handler’s permit. Experience – 2 Year related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Supervisory experience preferred. 1 Years related experience or an equivalent combination of high volume lounge or night club experience. 1 Years related experience or an equivalent combination of working in a high volume restaurant. |
