Job Duties: Prepares seasons, and cooks soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other type of foods for consumption at various restaurants within the hotel. Reports to and works for the Chef or Assistant Chef. Reads menus to estimate the amount of food required for the various restaurants. Orders food items from outside suppliers or procures food items from storage. Assists other cooks during emergencies or rush periods. Cleans food preparation areas, facilities, or equipment. Regular attendance is required for the position. Requires the ability to read a menu and estimate the total amount of food to prepare. Requires the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Requires ability to communicate effectively with management and kitchen personnel. Concentration, alertness and attention to detail is required. Must be able to memorize large amounts of information, and perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1-2 years work experience in food preparation and cooking required preferably in the hotel industry. Must have knowledge about international cuisine. Examination and clearances for Food Handlers certificate required before hire. Ability to function, work and communicate well in a team effectively. Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
