Job Title: General Manager
Job Duties: Establishes restaurant business plan by surveying restaurant demand; confer with individuals in the community; identifies and evaluates competitors; prepares financial, marketing, and sales projections, analysis and estimates. Meets restaurant financial objectives by developing financing; establishes banking relationships; prepares strategic and annual forecasts and budgets; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions; establishing and monitoring financial controls; develops and implements strategies to increase average meal checks. Attracts patrons by developing and implementing marketing, advertising , public and community relation programs; evaluating program results; identify and track changing demands. Controls purchases and inventory by meeting with account manager; negotiate prices and contracts; develops preferred supplier lists; reviews and evaluates usage reports; analyze variances; takes corrective action. Maintains operations by preparing polices and standard operating procedures; implementing production, productivity, quality, and patron-service standards; determining and implementing system improvements. Maintains patron satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food, beverage, and services offerings; initiating improvements; building relationships with preferred patrons. Accomplishes restaurant and bar human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orientating, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining management staff; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by establishing, following and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with health and legal regulations; maintains security systems. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends in the restaurant industry; attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies. Accomplishes company goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Qualification Requirements: • 18 years of age or older; • Prior management experience in a high volume restaurant preferred; • Excellent guest service and hospitality skills; • Strong problem solving and listening skills; • Self-motivated high energy person with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; • Bilingual (Mandarin-English) abilities preferred; • Planning and budgeting skills; • Ability to work well with and manage people, lead the team, foster teamwork, resolve conflict, and give feedback in a team environment, and to communicate effectively both written & oral; • Ability to function in a fast paced environment, under short time constraints, and within established deadlines; • Ability to lift and carry up to (30) pounds at a time; • Ability to perform various activities such as constant standing, walking, frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and squatting; • Ability to multi-task several activities and duties simultaneously; • Ability to function and act independently; • Ability to work a flexible schedule including extended hours, weekends, and holidays; • Obtain/maintain alcohol awareness certification and food handler’s permit.
