Job Title: Officer of Compensation & Benefits
Job Duties: Ensure that wages of employees are correctly and appropriately paid in compliance with CNMI Labor Law. Ensure the timely and accurate processing of the monthly payroll. Maintain balance controls for all systems and payroll deductions. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive matters. Establish and maintain payroll work assignments and schedules. Coordinate Compensation & Benefits processes including salary planning, management reviews and the introduction of new benefits. Participate in preparation and communication with employees about benefit programs, procedures, claims and any other government mandated disclosures. Assist all district staff and administrators on payroll and benefits issues with courtesy and in an expeditious manner. Administer the eligibility, payment, and record keeping processes for employee retirement. Administer and provide specialized support for employee benefits programs. Maintain payroll files; keep them up to date and accurate. Attend payroll/retirement meetings as assigned by the Business Manager. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource, Business Administration, or equivalent. Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in employee benefits procedures and data processing. Experience in Gaming Industry is a plus. Good interpersonal and Communication skills. Requires the ability to read, write, and speak the English language. Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; develops alternative solutions and uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics. Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position. Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures. Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly. Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to audience, whether oral or written. Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule, to be at work and on time. May occasionally require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. Schedules may vary based on business need. Must be able to work independently or with a team. Proficient computer skills including e-mail, word processing (Microsoft Word), spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel), database, PowerPoint, presentation and organizational/project planning software applications and Interaction. Experience in market benchmarking in terms of compensation and benefits. Sensitive and meticulous with numbers. Able to deal with sensitive information and keep it discretely. Knowledge of local labor legislations. Knowledge of computerized information systems used in HR applications. Excellent communication skills. Knowledge in SAP HRIS system is a plus. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy procedure manuals, and other related documents. Able to communicate effectively in English (Written/Spoken). Any additional language would be an advantage.
