| Job Duties: | Develops, implements and manages programs to control risks and losses; Mitigates an organization’s exposure to risk by formulating, developing, and coordinating all claims-related activities; Monitors and tracks all accidents and injuries in the workplace. Develops, recommends and implements Injury and Illness Prevention Program policies, procedures and initiatives to comply with regulatory requirements and to reduce incidents of employee accidents and injuries; Reviews first and third party claims for irregularities, accuracy and completeness; Directs a program to ensure the proper and efficient handling of claims, gathering data on claims for both record keeping and loss forecasting purposes, and estimating the financial value of claims; Monitors health and safety legislative and regulatory changes; Prepares risk and safety compliance reports; Maintains claims and experience records; develops and implements risk management and safety related policies and procedures. |

| Qualification Requirements: | Associate’s Degree holder or equivalent experience in a similar capacity is preferred. Minimum of four (4) years of experience involving risk/safety management and analysis or related field. Good interpersonal and Communication skills. Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; develops alternative solutions and uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics. Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position. Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures. Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly. Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to audience, whether oral or written. Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule, to be at work and on time. May occasionally require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. Schedules may vary based on business need. Must be able to work independently or with a team. Proficient computer skills including e-mail, word processing (Microsoft Word), spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel), PowerPoint. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy procedure manuals, and other related documents. Able to communicate effectively in English (Written/Spoken). |
