Job Title: Director - Wardrobe & Linen
Job Duties: Director - Wardrobe & Linen is responsible for manage the design, configuration, inventory, distribution, replenishment and the daily operations of the Laundry, Wardrobe & Linen operations. The emphasis of this position is manage all inventory, par levels of employee uniforms, laundry and terry. Design and configure all inventory management systems for Laundry, Wardrobe & Linen. Oversee and manage all aspects of laundry and linen with third party supplier. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Wardrobe. Monitor the flow of traffic at the uniform collection desk. Ensure par levels are maintained and automated conveyor and inventory systems are operational. Ensure outlets have sufficient levels of linen and terry in their departments. Ensure Team Members deliver Company high standards of quality and service. Develop and monitor operations policies and procedures. Develop, implement and monitor quality control mechanisms for the Laundry, Wardrobe & Linen, including service standards, uniform dry cleaning, pressing, staff grooming, equipment and chemical use, and health and safety. Monitor and inspect the daily upkeep and maintenance of the Laundry, Wardrobe & Linen and motivate staff. Anticipate and respond to Team Members’ requests and escalated complaints and ensure repairs and other issues are resolved promptly and to their satisfaction. Ensure employees have a complete understanding and comply with the rules and regulations. Ensure cleaning staff adhere to all security procedures and practices and follow grooming standards. Ensure employees have a complete understanding of rules regulations, and that behavior complies. Effectively communicate guiding principles and core values to all level of employees. Oversee department administration and paperwork. Coordinate and monitor the preparation of department operating expenses. Create departmental training plans and write operating procedures for Laundry, Wardrobe & Linen. Supervise, direct and lead the team to achieve department goals. Conduct daily briefings and disseminate Company information to the team. Hire, train, supervise, and manage Laundry, Wardrobe & Linen staff. Adhere to all Company policies and procedures. Perform other duty as assigned. Must be able to effectively multi-task.
High School Diploma Required? Undetermined
Qualification Requirements: At least a few days to a few months working experience in the housekeeping industry at a management level, preferably with casino hotel experience. High School graduated or above is preferred. Degree holder or equivalent professional training is preferred. Excellent interpersonal / presentation skills are preferred. Experience in managing budgets, revenue proposals and forecasting results. Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team to achieve high level of performance and exceed targets. Strong organizational and planning skills. Proficiency in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Responsible self-starter, capable of handling multi-faced projects and of working under pressure. Proactive and innovative problem solver. Team player, who values teamwork, has good team building skills and is able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees. Fluent in English. Ability to speak Cantonese or Mandarin is an advantage.
