| Job Duties: | The server will present menus to guests, memorize the restaurant menu, answer questions about menu items and provide recommendations upon request. Servers must take orders from customers for food or beverages by listing down the guest's food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff. Preparation of beverages and checks that itemize the meal cost and collection of payments are also a few of the duties. The server must also check the guests' identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcohol beverages. Check on the guests table to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action when facing any problems. Clean tables or counters after the guests have finished dining and other related duties assigned. |
