Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications. Provide overall technical support in electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer hardware and software systems as needed by the company. Specific tasks: • Oversee the daily performance of computer systems. Manage backup, security and user help systems. • Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements. Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems. • Meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and staff for various projects to develop and/or improve systems as may be required by SMA’s operation. • Provide users with technical support for computer problems. Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software. • Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications. • Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities. • Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support. • Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service. • Develop training materials and procedures, or train users in the proper use of hardware or software. • Develop computer information resources, providing for data security and control, strategic computing, and disaster recovery. • Evaluate data processing proposals to assess project feasibility and requirements. • Stay abreast of advances in technology. • Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualification Requirements: require training in vocational schools, related on-the-job experience, or an associate's degree. Previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required for these occupations. For example, an electrician must have completed three or four years of apprenticeship or several years of vocational training, and often must have passed a licensing exam, in order to perform the job. Employees in these occupations usually need one or two years of training involving both on-the-job experience and informal training with experienced workers. A recognized apprenticeship program may be associated with these occupations. These occupations usually involve using communication and organizational skills to coordinate, supervise, manage, or train • Associates degree in Computer Information Technology or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree highly preferred. • With at least 2 years work experience as IT Specialist, Computer Support Specialist, Computer Technician or equivalent. • Must be willing and able to work a combination of shifts within a 24 hour period (including holidays) as may be required by the company. • Flexibility to travel to Tinian, Saipan, and Rota to provide technical assistance. • With previous experience working in an air transportation industry highly preferred. • Highly motivated, good attendance record, dependable.
