Job Title: Human Resource Supervisor
Job Duties: 1. Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel. 2. Assists in preparing, developing, maintaining employee handbook and policies and procedures and its manual. 3. Monitors a wide variety of personnel policies and programs regarding Certified employees (e.g. advertising positions, processing applications, placement, transfer, separation, verifying employment, reference check, orientation, contracts, compensation schedule, FMLA, etc.) for the purpose of conforming to district policies, relevant laws, contracts and agreements. Informs supervisor of non-compliance. 4. Conduct recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students, temporary employee, outsourcing, conducts new employee orientations, administer compensation program, monitors performance evaluation program, writes and places job advertisements and receive and initiate process for resignation, termination, etc. 5. Assist in scheduling a variety of meetings and employee events (e.g Certified employee In-processing, Orientation, Retirement, Workshop, applicant interview, facilities use, etc.) for the purpose of meeting the needs of the department, and employees. 6. Assist in handling employee relations counseling, and exit interviewing and participates in an administrative staff meeting and attends other meetings and seminars. 7. Prepares a variety of reports and related documents (e.g. verification requests of employment, folders, paperwork, announcements of vacancies, personnel transactions for inclusion in the monthly Board packets, Organization chart, employee directory, P&P, Monthly HR Report, and etc.) for the purpose of providing documentation and information to others. 8. Processes, files, and maintains documents, data, and materials (e.g. employee personnel files, I-9 records, Human Resources Information System, etc.) for the purpose of disseminating information to appropriate parties and inputting data. 9. Assures compliance with the federal and state regulations concerning employment. 10. Manages and ensure effective labor relation, create an ethical, non-discriminatory and safe work environment, and maintains an effective communication line, identify and solve employee problems, manage conflicts and respond to grievances. 11. Prepares in responding to written and verbal inquiries from a variety of internal and external sources for the purpose of resolving problems, providing information and/or referring to appropriate personnel and/or identifying the relevant issues and recommending or implementing a remediation plan. 12. Upon request, represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations. 13. Updates, Develops and implements training programs to meet the needs of all levels of end-users. 14. Prepares and processes foreign workers work permit such as CW-1, H1, J1 and other applicable visas. 15. Prepares staff schedule and payroll timesheets. 16. Train HR Assistant or Administrative Clerk or Administration Clerk (e.g. processes, procedures, protocols and policies) for the purpose of ensuring that best employment practices are followed. 17. Performs other tasks as determined and assigned by the HR Manager or Operations Director or General Manager.
High School Diploma Required? Undetermined
Qualification Requirements: Associate Degree in Business Administration major in Human Resources or equivalent.Three years of successful Human Resources experience, in particular, Hotel & Resort Industry. Ability to maintain highly confidential nature of human resources work and possess highest degree of integrity and trustworthiness. Knowledge of the EEO, FLSA, FMLA, and other applicable regulations. Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiations and personnel information system. Knowledgeable in processing various working permit or visa. Professional in Human Resources Certification preferred but not required. Computer literate, has analytical and critical thinking skills and the ability to influence others and manage change. Ability to interpret data,. Knowledge of school employment, law and hearing procedure. Strong communication, public relations and public relation and interpersonal skills. Willing to work in extreme weather conditions and flexible to work on shifts, weekends and holidays.
