| Job Duties: | Verify the accuracy of survey data including measurement and calculation conducted at survey site Search legal records, survey records, and land title to obtain information about property boundaries in area to be surveyed Calculate heights, depths, relative position, property line, and other characteristic of terrain Prep-are and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal description of surveys to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed Direct or conduct survey to establish legal boundaries for properties, based on legal deeds and titles Prepare or supervise preparation of data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to survey Write description of property surveys for use in deeds, leases, or other legal documents Compute geodetic measurements and interpret survey data to determine positions, shapes, and elevation of geomorphic and topographic feathers Determine longitude and latitude of important feathers and boundaries in survey areas using theodolites, transits level and satellite-based global positioning system (GPS) Record the results of survey including the shapes, conto0ur, location elevation and dimensions of land or land feathers |
