| Job Duties: | Manages all company accounting functions; maintains control over expenses, income, assets and liabilities of the company; Review and analyze financial statements to ensure adherence to the U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); Prepares financial highlights and account schedules for top management; Make recommendations to General Manager and Board of Directors based on project cost forecast/budgets and other financial information; Assists external auditors to year-end data for consolidation of Audited Financial Statements; Review and approve journal entries prepared by accounting staff; Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies; Supervises the compilation of accounting data and preparation of financial statements; Supervises the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual account reconciliation in accordance with management expectations and current accounting standards; Ensure compliance with taxes and licenses; Coordinates complex accounting projects and initiatives with other accounting or office staff with a high level of independence and professional discretion while maintaining accountability of all company assets; Train and supervise junior staff accountants; Prepares response to Solicitation for Offer (for prospective federal contracts) and Request for Proposal/Invitation to Bid (for local contracts); Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by Board of Directors or the General Manager. |
