Job Title: Director - Gaming Data Analysis
Job Duties: Manage a team of 5-10 staff to perform daily reporting, ac hoc analysis, special projects on gaming optimization and customer performance; Responsible for staff training and manages & directs the activities of all the various levels of marketing analysts. Provides ad-hoc project analysis as requested by senior management; Manages and proposes marketing research projects, research data (qualitative, quantitative, and data from secondary sources), report findings, and prepare insightful and actionable recommendations. Must work closely with members of Marketing, IT, and Operations on data preparation, data warehousing and the implementation of strategic property optimization plans. Ensure accuracy on data/report is achieved; make recommendations to improve operational performance and maximize profits; Present forecast on expected visitor level, assist to provide relevant data to Finance for financial reporting and budgeting; Utilize business intelligence tools to create interactive reports and dashboards to help management understand the business trend and make data-driven decisions; Analyze business trends and KPIs related to gaming performance, customer behavior, casino operation and maintenance etc; Manipulate and analyze large datasets using data discovery, visualization, machine learning tools and methods to produce relevant business insights; Prepare ad-hoc analysis related to all aspects of player reinvestment and profitability; Manage a team of 5-10 staff to perform daily reporting, ac hoc analysis, special projects on gaming optimization and customer performance; Responsible for staff training and manages & directs the activities of all the various levels of marketing analysts. Qualification Requirements: Education: Bachelor degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science or any quantitative disciplines; Work Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in CRM or gaming analysis, with at least 3 years supervisory level experience; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Good interpersonal and Communication skills. Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; develops alternative solutions and uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to audience, whether oral or written Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule, to be at work and on time. May occasionally require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. Schedules may vary based on business need Must be able to work independently or with a team Proficient computer skills including e-mail, word processing (Microsoft Word), spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel), database, PowerPoint, presentation. Familiar and skilled with CRM systems, Bally CMP, Patron Management or similar systems preferred; Analytical and familiar with either customer segmentation, gaming optimization, financial modelling, and/or CRM strategies is required; knowledge in multiple fields is a plus; Knowledge and familiarity with data mining technology, intelligence tracking, data collection & analysis, qualitative analysis, quantitative analysis, statistical & business intelligence tools and techniques. Experienced user of business intelligence analytics tools, statistical packages, and decision support systems; extensive statistical software knowledge is required, preferably (SAS). Experience with the creation and implementation of multidimensional modeling techniques, analytical processes, metrics & measurement. Experience in applying complex BI/statistics projects to business environment. Hospitality, Leisure, Gaming, and Consumer related experience required. Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint presentation creation; expertise in Access is a plus; Strong communication and presentation skills is required; Strong aptitude to learn technical applications quickly; Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet tight deadline; Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities; Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills; Ability to learn and become subject matter expert quickly; Highly motivated; demonstrates a “can-do” approach in being proactive with work assignments; Experience in a dynamic organization; Maintain high level of accuracy; Ability to interact with senior leaders and demonstrate a professional presence; Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy procedure manuals, and other related documents. Able to communicate effectively in English (Written/Spoken). Ability to communicate in Chinese/Cantonese is a plus.
