| Job Duties: | Plans or designs structures such as office buildings, residences, factories, or other structural properties in accordance with environmental, safety, or other regulations; Prepares scale drawings or architectural designs, using computer-aided design or other tools; Direct activities of technicians engaged in preparing drawings or specification documents; Prepares information regarding design, structure specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, or construction time; Integrates engineering elements into unified architectural designs; Manages the coordination and overall integration of technical activities, specifically those involving architectural design, in projects; Meets with clients to review or discuss architectural drawings; Consults with clients to determine functional or spatial requirements of structures; Consults or negotiates with clients to prepare project specifications; Confers with management, production, or marketing staff to discuss project specifications or procedures; Directs, reviews, or approves project design changes; Prepares contract documents for building contractors; and Plans, directs, participates, or attends project meetings and presentations to potential investors and stakeholders on current and future schemes. |
