Job Title: Accountant
Job Duties: •Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. •Compute CNMI and federal taxes owed and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns, ensuring compliance with filing, payment and reporting requirements. Prepare year-end employee wage and tax statements and annual reconciliation of taxes withheld. •Conduct internal audits to verify compliance to procedures and controls. •Report to management regarding the finances of establishment. •Develop, implement, modify and document record keeping and accounting systems, making use of MYOB accounting software and Microsoft office programs. •Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs. Determine cause of variances and implement controls. •Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses and to provide advice to management. •Advise management about issues such as resource utilization, tax strategies and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts. •Conduct periodic inventory of properties and merchandise. Determine cause of variances, do reconciliation and implement internal control. •Perform other duties such as preparation of check and cash disbursements, payroll, collection of accounts, reconciliation of customers and vendors account ledgers and bank reconciliation. •Update merchandise costs spreadsheet on a timely manner and adjust selling prices to achieve monthly budgeted gross sales. •Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop or maintain solutions to business and financial problems.

Qualification Requirements: •College degree with Accountancy major. •Minimum five (5) years progressive work experience as an Accountant. •Excellent computer skills and extensive experience with MYOB accounting software and Windows office programs. •Proficiency in preparation of various financial statements and reports. •Familiar with GAAP.
