| Job Duties: | maintain safe,clean and orderly environment for patients and staff, assembles and prepares patient station, hemodialysis machines, dialyzers, line and dialysate bath as prescribed. Assemble all necessary supplies and prepares the dialyzer and dialysate delivery system, accurately takes and records vital signs and machine parameters throughout the treatment as well as pre and post dialysis, inserts fistula needles, connulates AVF,AVG, initiates dialysis utilizing established access routes following the established policies and procedures. Obtains blood samples for lab studies from established blood access routes, monitors and record vital symptoms of patient, monitors functioning of dialysis machines and is able to trouble shoots and take necessary actions as needed to prevent harm to the patient, initiates, monitors and terminates hemodialysis treatment according to established policies and procedures, actively participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of short and long term patient care plans, demonstrates knowledge and skills needed to provide care appropriate to age, condition of patients, in consultation with the charge nurse, recognizes and reacts appropriately to common dialysis complications like hypotension, cramps, etc., reports pertinent adverse observations and indicate to charge nurse, maintains patient confidentiality at all times, assist in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, monitor heparin infusion-pump and administers NSS when needed during treatment, does patient teaching as needed and performs other related duties as assigned. |

| Qualification Requirements: | Certificate from a Junior College/Technical school in health care related field, attended a hemodialysis training program, one year hemodialysis experience-preferred, must be CCHT certified by the Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission, English language skills-proficient in spoken, written and comprehension, certification in basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation. |
