Job Title: Human Resource Technician
Job Duties: Under the direct supervision of the Acting Executive Director or his/her designee. Provides administrative and technical support tasks for daily Human Resource operational functions; provides administrative assistance with benefits, training, payroll and recruiting activities, information tracking and documentation. Receives, processes and verifies forms and completion of required information; enters and maintains Human Resource information systems data, files and records; maintains confidential personnel files and records. Assists employees and the public by providing information related to HR processes and procedures; retrieves and reviews data and resources to provide response to inquiries; or, refers inquiries or requests to appropriate resource. Prepares forms and reports; drafts correspondence and templates; assists with gathering, documenting and maintaining information for programs, projects, training, recruitment, benefits or other areas. Assists management with special projects, information tracking and reporting. Monitors supply needs and prepare requests for replacement or acquisition; monitors equipment maintenance requirements and schedules services as required. Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

Qualification Requirements: High School Diploma or GED or ABE Program AS and 2 years of human resource or legal office experience AND 2 years of financial or accounting work experience. Knowledge of: Customer service principles; Filing and recordkeeping principles; Mathematical concepts; Inventory and supplies maintenance practices; Modern office technology. Confidential practices in Human Resource or Legal work environment. Skill in: Providing customer service; Filing, organizing, imaging and maintaining records and files; Preparing reports, correspondence and documentation; Managing time and prioritizing requests; Providing attention to detail; Proofreading documents and forms for accuracy and completion; Performing audits, identifying errors, making corrections and recommendations; Reviewing and researching database information; Responding to procedure and process information inquiries; Maintaining confidentiality of records and employment information; Utilizing a computer and relevant software applications; Utilizing communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, and others to sufficiently exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
