| Job Title: | Commis - Sichuan Cuisine |
| Job Duties: | The Commis is responsible for preparing the food at all kitchen workstations, as well as cleaning and sanitizing work areas and equipment; also in assisting the Demi Chef. Prepare raw meat, fish and vegetables. Prepare garnishes. Unload deliveries into stockroom and rotate products to avoid spoilage. Maintain sauces in good condition. Assist the Chefs with food distribution in the kitchen. Continuously improve health and safety standards. Test and correct any deviations from service procedures swiftly through on the job training. Interact with department and company team members, management, and contractors professionally and positively. Attend department and inter-department meetings and share relevant information Encourage good relationships, promote team spirit, and ensure effective two-way and multicultural communications. Adhere to the company policies and procedures and comply with the Code of Conduct. Remain well-mannered and well-groomed as per department and company standards. Follow health and safety standards and strive for constant improvement to avoid health and injury hazards. Participate in the company recycling program and follow a strict discipline to reduce, re-use and recycle wherever possible. Perform other related duties as assigned. |

| Qualification Requirements: | Minimum of 1 year F&B experience in a 5 star hotel environment or well-known properties’ Sichuan kitchen. Excellent product knowledge of Sichuan cuisines and pricing of supplies; understanding of HACCP standards and guidelines. High School graduate/GED or equivalent working experience. Ability to communicate in English, Mandarin or Cantonese to deal with guests and internal staff from Asian and International countries; knowledge of Japanese and Korean is an advantage. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Team player who responds quickly to demands and thrives in a high pressure work environment. Able to work on shifts and be flexible regarding work schedules according to business demand. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to multi-task. |
