| Job Duties: | Job Summary – (Role Summary) Responsible for supervising the stewarding operation during the shift and for cleaning and maintain food and beverage premises to high hygienic standards. Adhere to local regulations concerning health, safety, or other compliance requirements, as well as brand standards and local policies and procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Key Activities of the Role) In the absence of a Manager / Assistant Manager, conduct shift briefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known. Assisting in ensuring all staff is properly trained on quality and service standards. During shift, oversees the preparation of kitchen equipment for use. Supervises the receiving and storage of kitchen goods. Supervises the cleaning and storage of kitchen equipment. Supervises the cleaning of premises. Supervises the removal of waste. Supervises the handling of kitchen linen. Supervises the cleaning of a hygienic kitchen. Engages in and supervises the cleaning of kitchen and equipment. Maintains high level of personal hygiene for self and enforces hygiene standards for team. Supervises all function of the Stewarding operation to achieve the optimum departmental cost. Supervises all functions of the stewarding operation to achieve the optimum quality level of sanitation. Establishes and maintains effective employee and inter-departmental working relationships. Develops training plans and materials in accordance with Food and Beverage guidelines and implements training plans for the stewarding employees. Assist in setting stewarding goals and developing strategies, procedures and policies. Assist in determining the minimum and maximum stocks and controls the par-stocks of all material and equipment. Supervises the counting of inventories in coordination with employees of the accounting division. Liaise with employees of the facilities division to schedule preventive maintenance and repairs. Works with Supervisor in manpower planning and management needs. Works with supervisor in the preparation and management of the Department’s budget. |

| Qualification Requirements: | Required Skills – Demonstrated ability to interact with customers and employees, and third parties that reflects highly on the facility, the brand, and the Company. Food service permit or valid health/food handlers card as required by local government policy Skilled in problem solving and training. Must be dependable and flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to speak, read, and write in English. Preferred to be able to speak, read, and write in Mandarin. Must be computer literate. Excellent guest service and hospitality skills. Self motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift and carry up to (30) pounds at a time. Ability to work in an environment where pipe, cigar, and cigarette smoking is permitted. Ability to multi-task several activities and duties simultaneously. Ability to function and act independently. Ability to work well with people, in a team, environment, and to communicate effectively both written and oral. Ability to function in a fast space environment, under short time constraints, and within established deadlines. Ability to work a flexible schedule including extended hours, weekends, and holidays. Qualifications – Diploma in Hotel Management, Food & Beverage, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Vocational certificate in Food and Beverage Services or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Obtain/maintain alcohol awareness certification and food handler’s permit. Experience – 1 Year related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Supervisory experience preferred. |
