| Job Duties: | Maintains high visability with patients, staff & physicians and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to facilitate quality care, assist staff with problem solving to be innovative and to seek professional growth, communicates with physicians regarding patient issues and concerns, be available during doctor's rounds, maintain a safe, clean and orderly environment for patients and staff, accurately take and record vital signs and machine parameters throughout the treatment, as well as pre and post dialysis, initiates, monitors and terminates hemodialysis treatment according to established policy and procedure; obtaine blood samples for laboratory studies as ordered; respond to alarms and make appropriate adjustment during dialysis; demonstrate knowledge and skills needed to provide care appropriate to age, condition of the patients, in consultation with the charge nurse, recognizes and reacts appropriately to common dialysis, complications; maintains patient confidentiality at all times; carries out medical/nursing orders in the provision of patient care, administers medications and blood products and records appropriately; use standard precautions at all times; assist in cardiopulmonary resuscitation; participates in all staff in-services and staff meetings; provides a leadership and resource role in the provision of patient care; collaborates with facility manager regarding requisitions of unit stocks. |

| Qualification Requirements: | Must pass NCLEX-RN and current CNMI RN license; attended a hemodialysis training program and management of hemodialysis and outpatient care, at least four years hemodialysis experience and withthree years as a charge nurse in dialysis, certified neprology nurse (CNN) preferred, in-service training with Baxter phoenix machine; experience with Ameriwater bicarbonate distribution system, certification in basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation; English language proficient in verbal, written and comprehension, must hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing; must be flexible with time schedule. |
