| Job Duties: | 1. Consult with the entertainment manager to assess what lighting is required. 2. Discuss production requirements with the camera operator/entertainment manager. 3. Select lights and equipment to be used and organize any additional equipment. 4. Set up, focus and operate light fixtures and equipment. 5. Control consoles and auxiliary equipment. 6. Choose and combine colors to achieve the desired effect. 7. Operate the lights during the performance. 8. Use manual or computer control consoles to control lighting throughout a production. 9. Use devices such as barn-doors, scrims and other attachments to control lighted areas. 10. Perform routine maintenance functions such as replacing lamps and damaged color filters or patterns and maintain lighting equipment in safe working conditions. 11. Explore new techniques and special effects. 12. Placement and focus of lighting fixtures for any given scene to be photographed. 13. Distribution of power and work lights around the set/stage and support areas. 14. Console/dimmer board operator. 15. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. |
