| Job Title: | Chief Accountant (Property Management and Capital Accounts) |
| Job Duties: | Reports to: General Manager 1. Manages all company accounting functions; maintains control over expenses, income, assets and liabilities of the company; 2. Review and analyze financial statements to ensure adherence to the U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); 3. Prepares financial highlights and account schedules for top management; 4. Make recommendations to General Manager and Board of Directors based on project cost forecast/budgets and other financial information; 5. Assists external auditors to year-end data for consolidation of Audited Financial Statements; 6. Review and approve journal entries prepared by accounting staff; 7. Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies; 8. Supervises the compilation of accounting data and preparation of financial statements; 9. Supervises the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual account reconciliation in accordance with management expectations and current accounting standards; 10. Ensure compliance with taxes and licenses; 11. Coordinates complex accounting projects and initiatives with other accounting or office staff with a high level of independence and professional discretion while maintaining accountability of all company assets; 12. Train and supervise junior staff accountants; 13. Prepares response to Solicitation for Offer (for prospective federal contracts) and Request for Proposal/Invitation to Bid (for local contracts); 14. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by Board of Directors or the General Manager. |
