Job Title: Information Technology- Application Support Engineer
Job Duties: This position is responsible for the procurement, implementation and ongoing performance of application systems and service solutions for serving frontline enterprise operations. This position shall interface with a wide spectrum of departmental users, internal stakeholders and external vendors for requirements gathering and solution design; Implements application systems to fulfill business operation requirements according to company SDLC management methodology and ITIL framework; manage vendor support SLA, health check procedures, and software maintenance. Perform application systems operational requirements, implementation, integration, testing & deployment. Participate in all stages of application system projects. Source and adopt application systems and service monitoring solutions for serving the immediate and longer needs of enterprise operations and back-offices departments. Assist in managing the timeline and budget of all application implementation projects. Establish the policies & guidelines for daily health check and operations and provide technical support. Understand business user needs and assist in the development of business case justifications for the relevant solution projects. Manage application issues and drive for timely resolution. Maintain a resource library of potential solution suppliers in the market and manage vendor relationship and project support quality. Ensure training and knowledge transfer to peer team members. Monitor and review performance to user departments for continuous improvements including functional enhancements and increased cost effectiveness. Develop, support, review and make appropriate recommendations on any IT internal processes or software applications for improvement. Report or escalate any unsolved issues to management in a timely manner.

Qualification Requirements: Diploma/Degree holder in Computer Science or Information Technology Related Curriculum. Certification: Business Applications or Technology Related certifications a plus. Work Experience: Minimum 4 years in software development or application support experience. Experience in deploying large scale business application systems, preferably in a casino and/or hotel environment. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Good interpersonal and Communication skills. Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; develops alternative solutions and uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics. Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position. Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures. Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly. Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to audience, whether oral or written. Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule, to be at work and on time. May occasionally require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. Schedules may vary based on business needs. Must be able to work independently or with a team. Knowledge of gaming or hospitality industry business solutions Experience with casino or hotel systems and peripherals from major vendors like Bally, I.G.T., Aristocrat, Micros, etc desirable. Knowledge with application systems operation, maintenance & trouble shooting. Regulatory compliance practices, datacenter operational processes. Service planning and control including IT projects with SDLC/PM/DR processes.
