Job Title: Surveillance Shift Supervisor III
Job Duties: Liaise with management level personnel of other departments. Liaise with personnel from outside agencies (Gaming Regulator and Police) Maintains a working knowledge of all rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission, and ensures strict adherence to same throughout the property. Communicate effectively at all levels. Actively support and lead by example with company and department standards and objectives Supervise and direct the operation and daily activities of the monitor room team to ensure an efficient and effective operation. Provide guidance, instruction and coaching and counseling Senior Surveillance Operator and Surveillance Operator. Engender a proactive approach to monitor room operations with emphasis on the observation, detection and proving of suspicious and illegal activity. Engender a respectful and harmonious workplace and team and result based approach. Actively set tasks and provide direction for the shift. Delegate workload and duties responsibly. Ensure that assignments and routine duties are completed to department SOPs. Ensure compliance with all company and department policies and procedures. Coach, counsel and discipline as per company/department guidelines. Provide feedback to team members in a timely manner. Compile file notes and feedback for performance reviews. Ensure a strong working knowledge of department SOPs and related manuals and systems, review these for relevancy and for clarification of issues. Apply initiative in dealing with situations (backed by department SOPs). Maintain records and files for the department in accordance with department SOPs Review and approve documents and reports and observations generated by the team. Review reports, statistics and data from various company and department information systems. Undertake project duties as required and/or assigned. Compile and prepare in depth shift reports, summaries and logs. Provide complete support to Surveillance management. Act as Surveillance Shift Manager’s role when required.

Qualification Requirements: Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Work Experience: 3-5 years casino surveillance experience (preferred 2 years of previous supervisory or senior Operator experience in a large monitor room). Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Good interpersonal and Communication skills. Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; develops alternative solutions and uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to audience, whether oral or written Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule, to be at work and on time. May occasionally require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. Schedules may vary based on business need Must be able to work independently or with a team Knowledge of and experience with closed circuit television equipment preferred. Must possess excellent observational and communication skills. Must be able to detect schemes or cheating activity aimed at the casino or its guests. Knowledge of cheating and illegal activities in casino. Ability to work in a closed confidential environment and concentrate for extended periods of time. Good Math’s skills. Ability to write effective reports and memos. Ability to respond to inquiries from employees or guests. Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one, and small group Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy procedure manuals, and other related documents. Able to communicate effectively in English (Written/Spoken). Ability to read, write, and speak Chinese language (Putonghua and Cantonese) is preferred.
