Job Title: Cook (Chinese/Korean Specialty)
Job Duties: Responsible for preparing, cooking and garnishing foods required of his Kitchen Section. Carries out all reasonable duties assigned by Sous Chef and or Executive Chef. Cooks foods following established standards and/or standards recipes with or without supervision. Keeps informed about Hotel occupancy, daily/weekly specials and banquet functions. Cooks foods Chinese/Korean standard menu without supervision. Sets up mise en place by cutting and preparing foodstuffs and ingredients as needed. Measures and mixes ingredients in accordance with standard recipes; using the available utensils and equipment. Discusses and memorizes new items/recipes with Sous Chef/Executive Chef. Should keep his/her own record book. Responsible for rotation of fresh and old foodstuffs - cooked and raw - maintains absolute cleanliness of work area, reports malfunction of equipment, shortage of tools immediately to Managers. Carries out all reasonable and or perform other duties as assigned by Managers and Directress.
High School Diploma Required? Undetermined
Qualification Requirements: Must be a High School Graduate or equivalent experience required. A few months to 1 year experience in hotel kitchen or related field. Food Handler Certification /Police Clearance upon selection. Specializing in Chinese/Korean cuisines or related fields. Must be flexible and a definite Team Player. Preferably a U.S. Citizen or a Green Card Holder.
