Job Title: Steward Supervisor
Job Duties: • Clean, wash and store crockery, pots and glassware. • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and work areas, including ovens, stovetops, floors and ceilings. • Sweep and mop floors at appropriate intervals to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards. • Supervise and assist Stewards in order to make clean up more efficient. • Interact with department and company team members, management, and contractors professionally and positively. • Attend department and inter-department meetings and share relevant information. • Provide professional, efficient and courteous back of house services to support business operations. • Manage inventory of all kitchen equipment, glassware, flatware, cutlery, cooking utensils and event equipment, including storage, purchasing, supply, tracking and stock take. • Oversees and maintain Food and Beverage storage/preparation/cooking areas and equipment, ensuring that they are kept at the highest level of sanitation and quality. • Conduct daily inspections to ensure conformance with health and fire department regulations. • Monitor/Operate floor cleaning equipment, and to maintain resilient floor surfaces. • Create a work environment that promotes teamwork, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction. • Monitor team members’ manners and grooming according to company standards. • Review and innovate work processes and systems to maximize productivity and improve quality. • Understand and adhere to the company’s fire, hygiene and safety policies. • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including the dish washing machine, hand wash stations pot-scrubbing station, and trash compactor. • Make routine inspections of all equipment ensuring that all equipment is in proper mechanical working order. • Conduct routine inspections of all equipment and kitchen areas to ensure that cleanliness and sanitary procedures are maintained. • Practice and observe safety rules and regulations and encourage others to do the same. • Promote a work environment where employees feel valued, appreciated and involved. • Participate in the company recycling program and follow a strict discipline to reduce, re-use and recycle wherever possible. • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements: • Must have a few months to 1 year stewarding experience in a 5 star hotel or well-known Property. • Knowledge of Health & Safety, Food Safety Standards and Chemical handling regulations. • Secondary school or higher. • Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin to deal with guests and internal staff from Asian and International countries; knowledge of Cantonese, Japanese and Korean is an advantage. • Ability to operate Microsoft Windows & Office software. • Passionate about Food & Beverage and Health & Safety. • Positive attitude, hardworking, responsible and organized. • Good leadership, management and supervisory abilities. • Good multicultural communication and interpersonal skills. • Team player who responds quickly to demands and thrives in a high pressure work environment. • Able to work on shifts and be flexible regarding work schedules according to business demand. • Ability to stand for long periods of time. • Must be able to multi-task.
