| Job Title: | Assistant Chief Steward |
| Job Duties: | • Supervise and assist Steward Supervisors in order to make clean up more efficient. • Assist and support the Steward Manager to plan and oversee kitchen cleanliness and sanitation activities • Arrange and oversee maintenance of all banquet equipment, both stationary and portable • Attend department and inter-department meetings and share relevant information. • Maintain inventory control and order equipment and supplies to support the Catering and Culinary Departments, within budget • Assist outlet chefs with setup and teardown • Delegate duties and tasks fairly and equitably between the staff • Provide supervision, direction and leadership to Stewards to achieve department goals • Coach, motivate, counsel and evaluate staff • Conduct daily briefings and disseminate Company information to staff • Conduct daily inspections to ensure conformance with health and fire department regulations. • Monitor/Operate floor cleaning equipment, and to maintain resilient floor surfaces. • Test and correct any deviations from stewarding procedures swiftly through on the job training • Promote a work environment where employees feel valued, appreciated, involved, equal and safe • Interact with Department and Company Team Members, management, and contractors professionally and positively • Encourage good relationships, promote team spirit, and ensure effective two-way and multicultural communications • Adhere to the Company policies and procedures and comply with the Code of Conduct • Remain well-mannered and well-groomed as per Department and Company standards at all times • Follow health and safety standards and strive for constant improvement to avoid health and injury hazards • Participate in the Company recycling program and follow a strict discipline to reduce, re-use and recycle wherever possible • Assist in operation works according to business demand • Perform other related duties as assigned. |

| Qualification Requirements: | • Must have 2 - 4 years of stewarding management experience in a five (5) star hotel environment or well-known property. • 1 year or more of experience as a supervisor in a five (5) star hotel/ well-known property • Knowledge about the correct use, handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment • Secondary school or equivalent working experience. • Ability to communicate in English to deal with guests and internal staff from Asian and International countries; knowledge of Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese and Korean is an advantage. • Ability to operate Microsoft Windows & Office software. • Passionate about Food & Beverage and Health & Safety. • Positive attitude, hardworking, responsible and organized. • Excellent leadership, management and supervisory abilities. • Good multicultural communication and interpersonal skills. • Team player who responds quickly to demands and thrives in a high pressure work environment. • Able to work on shifts and be flexible regarding work schedules according to business demand. • Ability to stand for long periods of time. • Must be able to multi-task. |
