Job Duties: 1. To understand the varied needs of the community and Skywalker clients, through research. 2. To be constantly aware of the competition: who they are and what they are offering. 3. To plan a varied entertainment programme, building on successful brands and developing new branded events as necessary. 4. To book acts, attractions & artistes and set in place all arrangements to ensure the planned programme is delivered (music policy, décor, door entry etc) 5. To negotiate all contracts for signing in line with the financial schedule 6. To ensure all our events have a clear focus on customer services, with staff fully briefed and delivering the aims of the event. 7. To develop clear policies for music, the look and feel of the venue and overall expectations for our events so that other teams can assist in presenting these. 8. To uphold all licensing requirements in planning events. 9. To programme events which respond to and are sensitive to the varying needs of our diverse membership 10. To work closely with the marketing team to develop the product and promotion of events professionals. 11. To be responsible for the leadership and management of the staff working within the Entertainments department, ensuring the staff work as an effective team. This will include the matrix management of key staff who work events e.g. Stage Crew, DJ’s,security and promoters reps etc 12. To provide clarity of purpose to our entertainments programme, so everyone is aware what we are seeking to achieve. 13. To manage operational activities and procedures effectively, and monitor performance regularly to achieve targets and objectives. 14. To ensure the entertainments programme is delivered to the highest standards of service. 15. To ensure all arrangements are coordinated with other departments. 16. To develop and maintain an effective network across the industry, community, internationally and nationally, through maintaining current partnerships and creating new ones. 17. Other duties include booking venues, managing budget, negotiating contracts and fees, booking performers, managing events, conducting research, managing publicity, and working with agents .

Qualification Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Television Program Designing plus at least ten (10) years experience in related field. Must have excellent planning, coordinating, and organizational skills. Must have knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures, use equipments and materials properly. Self-motivated and an exceptional team player. High level presentation and report writing skills. Strong analytical ability. Excellent communication skills both internally and externally with the ability to influence at all levels. Excellent decision making ability. Integrity. Creative and innovative approach to problem solving. Proactive, driven and enthusiastic approach to work. Must be able to meet the demands of the work schedule and deadlines. May be occasionally required to work outside of regularly scheduled hours (schedules may vary based on business and clients' needs). Must be able handle assigned work requests in efficient, timely manner. Must be able to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Must be able to maintain a high level of professionalism; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position. Language Skills: Must have good interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy procedure manuals, and other related documents in English and Chinese. Must be able to communicate effectively in proper English and Chinese (Written/Spoken).
