Job Duties: | Under the direction of the Chief engineer, plan, organize, and supervise the maintenance, repair, and alteration of buildings, equipment and grounds, and custodial functions involved in the care of buildings and grounds. Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities based on work priority, quantity of equipment, and skill of personnel. Patrol and monitor work areas and examine tools and equipment in order to detect unsafe conditions or violations of procedure or safety rules. Monitor employees' work levels and review work performance. Examines objects, systems, or facilities and analyze information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs. Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, and maintenance techniques, operational procedures or equipment use. |

Qualification Requirements: | 3 years of skilled and increasingly responsible experience in building construction or maintenance work of which at least 2 years shall have been in management level. Knowledge of tools, materials, working practices and methods of the building trades, materials, equipment, working procedures and methods required in a hotel property and grounds maintenance program, and in the repair and minor construction of hotel facilities, landscaping, plant propagation, soils, insecticides and gardening tools, laws affecting the maintenance, repair and construction of hotel facility principles of supervision, training and management. Must be willing to work flexible schedule including early morning hours, weekends, nights, and holidays. |
