Job Title: Administrator - DataBase
Job Duties: Provide the administrative, proactive monitoring mechanism and planning functions on a 7x24 basis as required to ensure that database at Property provide reliable and efficient service on consistent basis. To perform all duties in accordance with company approved policies and within the realm of the company vision, mission and values. • Manage global QA, UAT, and Production database environments (e.g. support, operation, maintenance, capacity planning, etc.) • Establish, ensure and document standards and procedures to support database operation and development. Ensure no unscheduled interruption to business internal by adhering strictly to formal change control procedure. (compile to ITIL) • Manage internal and external data feeds. • Establish new database and update/ensure existing database to meet the changing needs of the business. Ensure effective backup and restoration procedures are in place for all database to guarantee ongoing protection of company data. • Manage and projecting database disk capacity to ensure efficient usage of disk space and timely additional of capacity of expansion, troubleshooting and provide consultation and advice to development teams and communicate with Vendors. • Provide proactive advice and monitoring on maintain/improve performance/integrity of database; write proactive database monitoring script and procedure. • Tune database with application logic and reporting to ensure reliable service and efficient application performance. • Installation, configuration and manage timely upgrades of database software to ensure database remain serviceable and supportable. • Central contact point for database technical support. • Provide detail database information (log and DB reports) for change Management and Incident Management. • Rectify faults in database software promptly to ensure continuity of services • Provide, or arrange provision of, credible consulting advice on database issues, e.g. for date warehouse development (EDW), needs of new applications (ie. OLTP), to ensure required business functionality is provided to meet end-users requirement.

Qualification Requirements: • Education: o College Degree holder in Computer Science or Information Technology Related Curriculum a minimum • Work Experience: o Minimum 3 years in IT technical development discipline with at least 2 years’ experience in Database Administration, Computer programming. o Experience with one or more of the following database engines: Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, MySQL and Sybase. o Experience in ETL metadata, systems administration, SQL tuning and debugging is a plus. • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: o Good interpersonal and Communication skills. o Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; develops alternative solutions and uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics o Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position o Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures o Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly o Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to audience, whether oral or written o Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule, to be at work and on time. May occasionally require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. Schedules may vary based on business need o Must be able to work independently or with a team o Proficient computer skills including e-mail, word processing (Microsoft Word), spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel), database, PowerPoint, presentation and organizational/project planning software applications and Interaction o Rational Database administration management knowledge o Understand common business procedures and how they are facilitated using software o IT internal processes, policies and procedures o Data modeling skill set o BI knowledge is a plus
