Job Title: Transmitter Supervisor
Job Duties: Monitor strength, clarity, and reliability of incoming and outgoing signals and adjust equipment as necessary to maintain quality broadcasts. Observe monitors and converse with station personnel to determine audio and video levels and to ascertain that programs are airing. Monitor and log transmitter readings. Report equipment problems, ensure that repairs are made, and make emergency repairs to equipment when necessary and possible. Play and record broadcast programs using automation systems. Manages all maintenance station activities, including planning, reporting and liaisons with LAN/WAN Administrator on Internet and email problems. Schedules daily activities and plans for upcoming projects with IBB Engineering. Oversees Facilities and Antenna ground maintenance functions. Establishes guidance for employee’s on the operation and maintenance of the 100Kw Continental 418 HF transmitters and 500KW ABB transmitters, Data Link’s via Microwave, Satellite Interconnect System and Station Automation Systems including remote facilities using PLC's and security systems . Liaisons with Lead Technician on antenna preventive maintenance procedures including safety and Quality control. Reviews and approves procedures governing all departments. Consult s with IBB manager on comprehensive training plans to ensure maintenance technicians are well versed in the various station components .

Qualification Requirements: Require training in vocational schools, related on-the-job experience, or an associate's degree.Previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required for these occupations. Employees in these occupations usually need one or two years of training involving both on-the-job experience and informal training with experienced workers.These occupations usually involve using communication and organizational skills to coordinate, supervise, manage, or train others to accomplish goals.
