| Job Title: | OPERATIONS MANAGER (SCUBA DIVING) |
| Job Duties: | Plan, direct, or coordinate the daily operations of the Scuba Diving Instructions and Scuba Diving Tour business. Plan and direct activities such as sales promotions, coordinating with tourists, hotels, and airline bookings of Japanese guests/tourists as required. Manages and gives instructions to instructors and divers as the leader of the diving team. Teaches first time divers the functions of scuba diving gears, diving equipments such as oxygen tanks, etc. Shows and tours the divers where the best and safe diving sites are and teaches them how not to harm the marine life and how to protect them. Work below surface of water, using scuba gear to inspect, repair, remove, or install equipment and structures. May use a variety of power and hand tools, such as drills, sledgehammers, torches, and welding equipment. May conduct tests or experiments, rig explosives, or photograph structures or marine life. Communicate with workers on the surface while underwater, using signal lines or telephones. Take appropriate safety precautions, such as monitoring dive lengths and depths, and registering with authorities before diving expeditions begin. Check and maintain diving equipment such as helmets, masks, air tanks, harnesses and gauges. Descend into water with the aid of diver helpers, using scuba gear or diving suits. Obtain information about diving tasks and environmental conditions. |

| Qualification Requirements: | At least two (2) years Managerial and PADI certified Scuba Diving Instructor work experience with minimal supervision. Can speak, read, write and communicate in Japanese preferred. PADI certified Scuba Diving Instructor preferred. O-Net: Title Job Zone Three: Medium Preparation Needed Overall Experience Previous workrelated skill, knowledge, or experience is required for these occupations. For example, an electrician must have completed three or four years of apprenticeship or several years of vocational training, and often must have passed a licensing exam, in order to perform the job. Job Training Employees in these occupations usually need one or two years of training involving both on-the-job experience and informal training with experienced workers.
