Job Title: Accounting Associate
Job Duties: Summary of duties: Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record, store, and analyze information. Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes. Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers or computers. Debit, credit, and total accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases, using specialized accounting software. Operate 10-key calculators, typewriters, and copy machines to perform calculations and produce documents. Compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep the company’s financial records updated and complete. Specific tasks: •Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers or computers. •Compile statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports and tables pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and profits and losses. •Operate computers programmed with the company’s accounting software to record, store, and analyze information. •Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations. •Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes. •Debit, credit, and total accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases, using specialized accounting software. •Receive, record, and bank cash, checks, and vouchers. •Code documents according to company procedures. •Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records. •Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualification Requirements: • Require training in vocational schools, related on-the-job experience, or an associate's degree.Previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required for these occupations.Employees in these occupations usually need one or two years of training involving both on-the-job experience and informal training with experienced workers. These occupations usually involve using communication and organizational skills to coordinate, supervise, manage, or train others to accomplish goals.Associates degree in Accounting or Commercial Business course highly preferred. •With at least 2 years work experience in Accounting or related functions. Experience working with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP) and with an Air Carrier as defined in 14 CFR Part 119 highly preferred. •Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, emphasis on Microsoft Office Accounting and Excel program. •Detail oriented, highly organized, highly motivated, a self-starter, trustworthy, and hardworking.
