| Job Duties: | Directs activities of workers and various subcontractors concerned with construction of buildings,dams,highways,pipeline or other construction projects. Studies specification to plan procedures for construction on the basis of starting and completion time & staffing requirement for each phase of construction based on knowledge of available tools & equipment & various building methods.Assembles members of organization at a start of project. Orders procurement of tools & materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules. Confers with & directs supervisory personnel & subscontractors engaged in planning & executing work procedures interpreting specifications, & coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays.Confers with supervisory personnel & labor representatives to resolve complaint & grievances within workforce.Confers with supervisory & engineering personnel & inspectors & suppliers of tools & materials to resolve construction problems & improves construction methods.Inspect work progress to ensure that works conform yo specifications & that construction schedules are adhere to.Prepares or receives from subordinates reports on progress,materials used & adjust work schedules as indicated by the reports. Proficient in horizontal & vertical construction, survey & layout of all types of construction project using digitalized theodolite survey instrumentation. Fully understands how to read & interpret all shop drawings, blue prints & able to prepare & maintain as builts as well as be able to maintain & update project schedules. |
